Factory OEM Touch Up Spray Paint

Introducing Collision Quest's premium Automotive Paint Spray Can, the perfect solution for convenient and efficient touch-ups and small-scale automotive painting projects. With our high-quality formula and user-friendly design, achieving a professional finish has never been easier.

All colors are exactly mixed in accordance with the “standard” OEM formulation. There are several factors that may cause the vehicle to “drift” away from the OEM standard color standard. Because of the many factors that contribute to color variations from the OEM standard Collision Quest Inc. does not guarantee a panel-to-panel color match. Colors mixed are in most cases “blendable” matches to the OEM color standard.

Key Features:

  • Superior Paint Quality: Our automotive paint is specifically formulated to provide excellent coverage, adhesion, and durability. It delivers a smooth and flawless finish that matches or exceeds the original paint color of your vehicle.

  • Easy-to-Use Aerosol Can: The spray can design allows for effortless application, making it suitable for both automotive enthusiasts and DIYers. The nozzle provides a controlled and consistent spray pattern, ensuring even distribution and minimizing the risk of drips or uneven coating.

  • Versatile Application: Whether you need to touch up minor scratches, cover small areas, or apply a full coat, our automotive paint aerosol spray can is designed to meet your needs. It adheres well to various automotive surfaces, including metal, plastic, and fiberglass.

  • Please note that proper surface preparation and following the manufacturer's instructions are crucial for optimal results. We recommend cleaning the surface, removing any loose paint or rust, and using a suitable primer before applying our automotive paint aerosol spray can for the best adhesion and durability.

  • Enhance the appearance of your vehicle and tackle automotive paint projects with confidence using our Automotive Paint Aerosol Spray Can. Experience professional-grade results in a convenient and user-friendly package.

  • **This is a base paint. A clearcoat will need to be applied over this color. We recommend using Spraymax clearcoats.

Solventborne vs. Waterborne

Solvent-borne paints and waterborne paints have different compositions and drying mechanisms. Solvent-borne paints rely on the evaporation of organic solvents to dry and cure, while waterborne paints use water as the carrier and rely on water evaporation and polymer coalescence for drying and film formation. This fundamental difference can lead to compatibility problems when the two types of paints are mixed.

When performing touch-ups on a car with a solvent-borne paint system, it is generally recommended to use touch-up paint specifically formulated for solvent-borne systems. These touch-up paints contain the same type of solvents and binders as the original paint, ensuring compatibility and a better match in terms of color and finish.

Using waterborne touch-up paint on a solvent-borne painted car is generally not recommended. The reason is that the two types of paint systems are not fully compatible, and using them interchangeably can result in poor adhesion, color mismatch, and other issues.

If you're uncertain about the type of paint used on your car or the compatibility of touch-up paints, it's advisable to consult with a professional automotive painter or contact the manufacturer for guidance. They will be able to provide you with the most accurate information and recommend the appropriate touch-up paint for your specific situation.
